Winter Wonderland Wedding at the US Naval Academy Rachael & Ryan

Updated: Feb 28, 2020

About the couple:

It was during our initial meeting with Rachael that I learned her fiance was overseas deployed in Asia. I could only imagine planning your wedding with your fiance thousands of miles away. Rachael was completely up to the task and their love showed through out the planning process and across oceans!

The BIG DAY!

What is better than a wedding at the Naval Academy in downtown Annapolis, Maryland? You might ask. A winter wonderland at the Naval Academy! And Heather Ryan (Heather Ryan Photography) took advantage of this picturesque opportunity without fail. The ceremony took place at The Naval Academy Chapel and the reception was on base at The Naval Academy's Officer's Club.

Song Selections:

Cocktail hour was a wonderful mix of The Piano Guys, never heard of them? Take a moment and find them on YouTube. They cover almost every song you can think of on a Piano and Cello. From Christina Perri's - Thousands Years, to Ushers - Without you. It is a complete instrumental soundtrack that allows guests to maintain conversation while prompting conversation over "Is this the Beatles?" What a fantastic soundtrack to their wedding day!

Rachael and Ryan danced their first dance to Love like this by Lauren Daigle

Rachael and her Father danced to Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison

Ryan and his Mother danced to So Far Away by Carole King

And they DANCED all night long....

The Send Off!

After a night of dancing and partying! Rachael and Ryan were sent off into marriage to A Sky Full of Stars by Coldplay, be sure to check out the Piano Guys cover of Sky Full of Stars as well!!
