How they found me:
It's always fun to look back and see how I have come to know some of my previous couples and what adventures (weddings) it takes me on. Patti and Chip were referred to me by two of my previous couples. 80% of my work is from word of mouth. It has been amazing to see how far some of theses branches have grown. I had originally DJed Chris and Kate Smith's Wedding in 2016, Renee and Nick Squire's wedding in 2017, then there was Lindsey and Kurt Winter who refereed me to Patti and Chip. Being referred by previous couples helps me to better establish a relationship and understanding about what is important to my new couple's and how music has influenced their life and relationships.
The setup:
Patti and Chip tied the knot at a church earlier in the day. This gave them the opportunity to get some scenic shots with their Photographer Madison Short before the start of cocktail hour. The reception took place at The Hotel Annapolis which is now refereed to as The Graduate Annapolis. Cocktail hour took place in the atrium just outside the ballroom where dinner service and the dance floor was setup. The back wall of the ballroom was piped and draped, giving the head table an elegant backdrop. Blush uplights were throughout the ballroom adding the finishing touch to the atmosphere.
Start of the reception:
I always encourage couples to "think outside the box" when it comes special event songs, and man did Chip and Patti deliver. For their introduction song they selected Orioles Magic which is the Baltimore Orioles theme song, talk about leaving your mark on a wedding. "O-R-I-O-L-E-S MAGIC MAGIC MAGIC......" was accompanied with guests clapping to the beat as Mr. and Mrs. Helferstay charged into their wedding reception. They went right into their first dance, which was Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton.
Party Time!
Patti and Chip's guest packed the dance floor all night, words and even photos can't articulate the party they had! And for that reason I have included a video clip to help put it in perspective.
Some of my favorites from their playlist:
Dancing in the moonlight - King Harvest
Wagon Wheel - Old Crow Medicine Show
I wanna dance with somebody - Whitney Houston
You shook me all night long - AC/DC
This All American Family
Can you say patriotic??? Chip and Patti continued their family tradition of singing God Bless America as their last dance. The father of the bride lead all the guests in singing. Patti and Chip went off into marriage after having an amazing party with the family and friends.
Venue: The Hotel Annapolis

What the couple had to say about me:
"Fantastic to work with
Andy was amazing to work with. We were able to upload our favorite music, must play songs and do not play songs months before hand and then review it all with him. He gave great advice on timeline and helping move the reception events through. He was able to take our uploaded music and also play additional music that wasn't listed but went perfectly with our taste. Our dance floor was full until the music stopped!!"
